TAG!! 10 Little Secrets

Hey again!

So, I'm not completely finished with the next part of "Do You Here the Bells?!" And it probably won't be up until next weeks because this week I'm slumped with cheer tryouts (wish me luck!), review for the CRCT (last one!!!!!), a new puppy, and just overall drama. But hey! Whatevs!! So, for now I'm going to do a quick post, which is this one, and it's the 10 Little Secrets Tag. I think its super cute and in the comments below (for the daily question) please pick one or two questions and answer them for yourselves, I'd love to here what you have to say!

1. What is one product that makes you feel like a million dollars?

  • I think my mascara definitely. Like when I know my eyes look bright and standout I feel like a million bucks.
2. What is your skincare secret? / A passed down skin care tip

  • Well my skincare routine is actually pretty long....so I'll just do another post about that but pretty much I just put a little extra effort into making sure I take the best care of my skin and make sure to do it everyday even when I really really don't want to.
3. Share your hair care secret?

  • Well contrary to all of my pictures, I have really really curly hair. Its long 1cm little spirals and they frizz soooo easily. So, what I do, is I take a shower every morning, wash my hair every three days, and in my showers I leave the conditioner in. ALL DAY. So my curls stay unfrizzy, smooth, separated and shiny. I use Pantene's Moisture Renewal in the Curly formula. It works really well for me and I would recommend it to anyone.
4. What is your biggest diet rule?

  • Everything in moderation. Sugars, fruits, veggies, red meat, white meat; Everything.
5. Any workout tips?

  • Well for girls, don't workout to increase muscle. Workout to decrease fat. Like in your stomach, don't workout your ab muscles a lot and think that all your belly fat will go away. Because it won't. The larger the muscle under the fat gets, the farther it pushes that fat out. So focus on burning fat before working your muscles. Plus it will be a lot easier with all the weight from fat off.
6. Which perfume is your secret weapon?

  • Defiantly my Couture Couture by Juicy. I just love it soooo much, though sadly, I just ran out and I havn't been about to buy anymore. So I've been using Victoria's Secret's Black Noir and Rue 21's new one, i don't know the name lol, but yeah its the one in the pink round bottle and comes in the sparkly silver box. It smells great!!
7. Show us a clothing item of yours which always turns heads

  • Okay, so not to sound like conceited or braggy or anything cuz that's totally not my intention, but I have a really nice bum. And so, when I wear body con skirts, I turn a lot of heads. Granted most are guys, but its still heads.
8. What is your most treasured piece of jewellery?
Well I have this necklace that I practically never take off. Its a silver chain with a moonstone pendant set in silver. I got it a couple years ago from St. Augustine in Florida and I've worn it everyday since. One time I thought I lost it and I totally like broke down. Like sobbing and everything, and my parents were like "wtf? its just a necklace. chill." lol
9. Who is your style crush?

  • Honestly, I don't have one. Like I never really pay attention to any celebrities and what the wear except for like award shows, so I don't really pay attention to how they dress.
10. Tell us something we don't know about you

  • Well, I'm really into modeling. Like I am obsessed with America's Next Top Model and I really wish I could model. I'm trying to start but since i'm 14 and only 5'3 (barley) I can only be a commercial model and not fashion because I'm too short. :'( And commercial modeling isn't something I am as interested in so....yea lol :)
That's it for today!! Please please comment I really want to here your thoughts! Thanks! xoxo Kayla

7 Deadly Sins TAG

Hey girls (and/or guys)

So I've been watching a bunch of 7 Deadly Sins tags on youtube and I decided to do one! But please do stay tuned for the last two installments of my "Do You Hear the Bells?!," because I'm certainly not finished with those, i'm just doing this quick post since its been a couple days since I've done one. Also, Happy Easter to those who celebrate it! I hope you had fun eating candy, looking for eggs, and honoring the Lord. I know I did!

1. Greed: What's your most inexpensive beauty products? I'd have to say any and all of my ELF products. They were the first cosmetic company that I really liked and everything was around 1-5$ :)

What's you most expensive product that you love? I'd have to say my Urban Decay 24/7 eye           pencil in perversion, I use it almost everyday and I've been trying to limit myself so I don't use it all. But I really love it because its creamy, lasts all day, and is the blackest eyeliner I've found.

2.  Wrath: What product to you most have a love/hate relationship? Totally my liquid eyeliner. I swear, sometimes it has a mind of its own. Just sometimes it's really cooperative and sometimes it takes me an hour to do my eyeliner.

3. Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness? Um, probably my moisturizer...I always put it on at night. But in the mornings...lol. And it's weird because like in my head, I stress it so much. I'm always like "moisturizer is the most important, never forget it" yet i only use it when I really think about it.

4. Pride: What beauty product makes you feel confident? Well, mine a combo. It's my eyeliner and mascara. I feel like when my eyes look big and have long, full, gorgeous lashes I can conquer the world :D

5. Lust: What traits do you find attractive in the opposite sex? Well, I know this sounds kind of shallow, but I defiantly am always on the hunt for a guy with muscles. Like, if I guy has visible abs and can pick me up, he sooo gets extra points. And also I really like bad boys, like, the rush that comes with them. But they have to have a sweet side lol. Oh and nice eyes!! lmao not specific at all right?

6. Gluttony: What are your most delicious products? Um...probably my Lush lip scrubs. The bubblegum one tastes really good!

7. Envy:What beauty product would you most like to receive as a gift? Probably a MAC palette with a bunch of eyeshadows. Its always funny when I watch videos on youtube and the guru pulls out their handy-dandy 15x Mac eyeshadow palette, and I'm like "I want, give me please, I beg" lmao

So that was my 7 Deadly Sins of beauty! Remember to comment and follow I love to hear what you think. Since its pretty late here and I'm supposed to be sleeping, I'm not gonna do a question or quote cuz....well it just takes to much effort lol. But anyways love you guys! Thanks for reading! G'night!

Do You Hear the Bells?! Part 2:Finding the Perfect Dress

Hello again!

So in this part (is that the right word) I'm going to tell you girls how to find the perfect Prom/Formal dress for your body and personality.

Overall Tips For Finding a Perfect Dress

  • you may want to try going to a store and making an appointment. This will guarantee that you'll have someone else other than your mom and your buds to give you an honest and professional opinion on what you will look best in.
  • Make sure if you do go to an appointment, you wear whatever undergarments you're intending to wear that night so that you can make sure it fits perfectly and is hidden. Do the same if you plan on matching a dress to a pair of shoes.
  • If you have a budget for prom, then this is the place to focus it. You can always borrow a pair of pumps or wear makeup you already own. But finding a dress you love and not being able to afford it is a heart-breaker and will ruin the experience.
  • Have fun when you go out to find a dress! Make sure you feel happy that day so you can use the shopping trip to its full potential. Blast some girl power songs, wear some easy-to-get-out-of clothes. And (based on expierience) don't even think about going shopping when you're in your period. Just trust me in that.
For My Ruler Shaped Girls
  • Try finding dresses that will give your body the illusion of curves. Here are some examples.
Buy Strapless Ivory Formal Dress at PromGirl Now, I truly love this dress. Why? It will give anyone a great figure! The sweetheart neck and the belted waist give the illusion that your waist is smaller than your bust and hips. And also because of the sweetheart, your eyes are immediately drawn to the waist. And also, because of the extra fabric on the hips, it looks like one HAS hips! Dresses like these are gorgeous and will give anyone the curves they long for.

Pretty Petites
  • If your short (like myself) Or shopping for a semi-formal (also like me) Try someting short to elongate what height you do have.
Buy Short One Shoulder Mac Duggal Dress at PromGirl Pair the short dress with a pair of killer pumps, that'll make your legs appear to go on for miles. Have fun with the dress you wear! Just because your short, doesn't mean you can't stand out!

Semi-Formal
  • So if you're like me, and shopping for an 8th grade dance or 9th grade prom, or your just not feeling the whole "long dress" thing. Try something simple and short.
See this is my dream formal dress. Like, literally, I've been drooling over this dress for the last week. This is a great way to make a statement without looking like you've aged two years. Being at a younger age, you probably don't have as many curves as some of those older girls, so try to find something that will accent what curves you do have. A belted waist will pull in your center, a poufy skirt with give you hips and butt, and a good ole' push up bra never hurts ;)

Hour Glass
  • oh you lucky lucky girls! Haha you have what everyone wants! So why not show it off? Can you here the sexy, low back, tight, mermaid dresses calling your name? I do!
Buy Grey Strapless Jovani Prom Dress at PromGirl If you've got it flaunt it. That's all I can say!  really love this dress, lol. I really do! Mermaid gowns are sleek sexy and they look good on practically anyone! Whether your hourglass is extra curvy or it's minor, mermaid gowns will definitely show off what you have a bring it out.

Sexy Not Slutty--Get it Right
Every girl want to look sexy for prom, whether to impress your date or just cuz. There is a way to be totally sexy without breaking the rules and looking like a....well you know.
Buy Elegant Low Back Floor Length Gown by Sherri Hill at PromGirl Having a dress with an open back is a great way to be sexy without showing too much. This dress is great because its balanced out with the high neckline and length. This would work great for girls who're scared to show more skin, but want to get some attention.
Buy One Shoulder Side Cut Out Chain Detailed Dress at PromGirl Cut-outs is also another way to show some skin in a fun way. This style of dresses are super sexy, but they still leave a lot to the imagination.
Buy Lace Up Strapless Sweetheart Formal Dress at PromGirl And for my girls who are a little more conservative but have great legs, the slit!!  This is a great way to add some subtle sexiness into any dress.  And even better, if you're wearing a pair of statement heels, they'll have fun playing peekaboo in a dress like this.

Outgoing Beauts
Of course I know there are those outgoing, spontaneous, slightly crazy girls out there who want to make a dramatic statement and take a risk.
JZ-4564 I really really love this dress. And whoever wears this will make a statement. Not only are there cut outs, rhinestones, ruffles, and high-lows, the entire back is open. With the same sparkly cut-out style of the front. This dress is the epitome of glamour. Any girl who rocks this will have the attention or everyone in the room. :)

Well I hope you guys liked the second installment of my Can You Hear the Bells.  I really had a lot of fun writing this! In the comment section below, tell me what kind of prom girl are you? An outgoing beaut? A pretty petite? Tell me! And tell me what your dream prom dress looks like! Thanks girlies! xoxo Kayla

Do You Hear the Bells?! Part 1

No, not the wedding bells! The school bells! Can You feel the end of the school year drawing closer and closer? And with that closeness, comes......PROM! Or if you're like me, and only in 8th grade....8TH GRADE FORMAL!! :) So today, I'm going to give you guys my best tips on makeup for prom, formal, or whatever you have going on at the end of this school year! I'll even leave links at the bottom to where I learned all these great tips and tricks!!

  • Now, Prom is the time (in my opinion) to make a statement. Make a change! Nothing drastic like dyeing your whole head pink or anything, but prom is one of those times that its okay to bring out the bright colors and glitter :) A nice smoky eye will bring out anyone's eyes. Try using a fabulous silver glitter on the center of your eyelids and then a a gorgeous matte dark grey or back in your outer v and crease. I recommend MAC's Carbon eye shadow and there fabulous loose pigments.
  • Prom is also a time to wip out your GEL eyeliner. Not liquid. Why? A good gel liner is guaranteed to last all night. Most liquid liners will start flaking or smudge. Plus a gel liner is so much easier to apply and you can smudge it out. If you mess up with liquid liner...well I hope you have some cosmetic wipes and lots of time :)
  • Try to remain matte for this occasion. The only part of your face you want shiny is your lips. Make sure to invest in some good matifying products.
  • Now, be careful if you're planning on getting new makeup for prom. Get it and test it around a month before, just so that you can get familiar and comfortable with it. And also, so that if it cause you to break out, you'll have time to fully recover and replace the product.
  • Make sure to keep your lashes big and bold! Its time to whip out your Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes or L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes. And make sure its in the darkest black  you have. Apply it with upwards and outwards strokes, wiggling the brush back and forth so you get every lash. If you're a fair haired beauty, try using a dark brown mascara instead so you don't like overpowered.
  • Highlight! Apply a light shimmery highlight to all the high-points on your face and body. So your cheek bones, the bridge of your nose, a little on your forehead, your cupids bow, and your shoulders. You a big fluffy or kabuki brush to make sure it looks like you have a natural glow. I recommend MAC's minerlize skinfinsh in Soft and Gentle and Benefits High Beam.
  • When choosing eye shadows try to pick a color scheme that will compliment your eyes, your dress and each other! Do you have a blue dress and blue eyes? Browns. Brown eyes and any color dress? Purples and silvers.
  • Remember, make sure you feel amazing in your makeup, no matter what look you have! It's a night to have fun and look gorgeous!! Whether you're going au natural or rocking a bright red lip, just feel beautiful, because you are!!!
Thanks so much guys!! I really hope you liked this! Stay tuned for the next part :) There will probably be 3 or 4 of them so keep an eye out :)

Oh and before I go, down below tell me you're greatest prom memories! Whether beauty related or just a story you wanna tell! You know how I love to hear from you guys :) xoxo Kayla

Nail of the Day

So this is the nail of the day! I actually did this a couple days ago but it still looks great. The base color is China Glaze-Beauty and the Beach which is a gorgeous almost metallic-y bright blue. On top of that, even though I know you can't tell in the lighting, is China Glaze-Watermelon Rind. Which you can have by itself where its buildable or you can use a thin coat to add a nice blue glitter. Watermelon rind is is a pretty, pretty dark blue-green glitter nail polish. When you look closely, there's green, teal, light blue, silver, and dark blue-green glitter in it. Either of them look great on their own or even better paired together. :)

So, tell me: What's your favorite nail polish? Brand? Color? Give me all the deets :)

Love, Kayla <3

My Top Ten Products!

Hey Beauts!

So today I decided I'm going to give you guys a list of my top ten, cannot live without, beauty products :) I will include the pros and cons, why I personally like it, and the price. So here we go!!

10. Maybelline Fit Me! Powder- I use this everyday, I seriously couldn't live without this stuff. I'm the color 320 Honey Beige. I love how it goes on with a sheer, but build-able coverage. The color matches perfectly with my skin tone. I find it lasts all day and I only ever have to do touch ups on a really hot day, when I extra oily. I like the packaging its simple, sleek, and black with two openings. One to the actual product, and one under that where it holds a small puff and a mirror. I've had this product for around a year and it's lasted a really long time seeing as I've just hit pan. It costed, i think, around 5-10$

9. Ulta Cheek Color in Fame- This is my go-to natural flush blush. Its a nice dusty rose almost coralish color that looks great on my skin. It goes on smoothly and matte. The pigmentation is wonderful and it lasts all day. The packaging is plain, simple, clear, not all that. But for what I paid(which was nothing because I got it as a free gift from Ulta) its ok. :)

8. Mary Kay Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover- I love this makeup remover!! So much that I picked it over my Yes To Cucumbers facial wipes. Its removes my makeup quickly and effortlessly. The only problem I have with it is that, contrary to its name, it leaves an oily residue on my skin. The first time i thought it was just something wrong with my specific bottle, but it happens now too with my new bottle. So i don't know, but whatever it still gets the job done. Unfortunately I can't tell you the price because my grandma buys it for me and mails it to me so I don't have the brightest idea.

7. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle- I got this product for Christmas and was sooo happy to get it. I use it daily as a highlight for my cheekbones, nose, cupid's bow, and sometimes my brow bone. As always, MAC fails to disapoint and I would definitively recommend this to anyone! My only problem is, if you have a heavy hand you will find the problem of it being too shimmery.Other than that, if you use a light hand and blend out the edges, it works perfectly. The price, I'm pretty sure is around 16-20$.

6. Urban Decay Surreal Skin Creamy Concealer in Hallucination- concealer is one if the big things that I cannot leave my house without. I'm always on search for a really good concealer or concealer palette. This one works really really well for me. Its a little bit lighter than my actual skin tone but that works for brightening up my under eyes. It definitely needs to be set with a powder because due to the creamy consistency, I'm afraid it would probably smudge or crease without it. Other than that it works great, lasts most of the day, super cute packaging. I think I got this on sale for around 10 or !5$. Also, tell me: What's your favorite concealer?

5. Urban Decay Primer Potion- This is the Holy Grail of eye shadow primers. If you are one of those sad people out there who doesn't have a primer go out and buy this. It is sooo worth it! Without this stuff, my eye shadow would be all over my face by the end of the day. But where is it instead? In the exact place I put it! I wear it everyday and I love it. A close alternative to it though would by Too Faced Shadow Insurance, sometimes I alternate between the two or even combine them. I got mine in the cheaper, vintage bottle for around 10$ but the squeeze bottle is around 18$ i think.

4. Urban Decay Naked Palette- I got this palette for Christmas also and I am so happy I have it. I love this palette. It has everything you need to do a totally natural look, a pretty brown smoky eye, a dramatic night-out look, everything! My friend's ask me how i keep up with all my makeup when I wear a different look almost every day, and all I tell them is "it's all in one perfect little palette." I literally, like no joke, use this palette everyday. Definately worth the money, which by the way is 50$.

3. Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion- I am definitely an eyeliner girl. Can't live without it. And of course, I'm always looking for the blackest black I can get. This is my go-to eyeliner always, always, always! Its such a true, true black. It applies smoothly and creamy then dries to a powder-ish finish. Its so dark that it looks like a liquid liner, which is great because I love liquid liner but it takes me like twenty minutes longer to apply :)  My only problems are, it goes on so creamily that I use it up pretty quickly. So I've had to force myself to slow down with it and now i only use it on my bottom lash line and use liquid liner on my top. My other problem is, its 18$. That's kind of a lot for an eyeliner but its ok :)

2. L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara in 670 Black/Noir- Mascara is another one of those things I feel naked without. And this is totally one of my favorite mascaras. I think the payoff is amazing for a drug store mascara. Its voluminizing, separating, and lengthening. Everything I could ask for in a mascara! I wear this everyday, literally EVERY day, layered with my #1. It was only around 12$ which is a reasonable price for the amazing-ness of this product.

1. Tarte Light's, Camera, Lashes Mascara- oh this stuff...I just...I am in love with it. Like, I would marry it. It makes my eyelashes look long, lush, and healthy. Like, my eyelashes are already long, thick, and lush but with this stuff, I swear, my eyelashes touch my brow bone. It holds a curl all day and keeps me looking awake. I don't know how I was living before without this stuff, I really don't. If you are ever looking for a new, good-quality mascara, I totally, fully, and completely recommend this one!

So those were my can't live without, top ten products!!! I hope I told you guys some useful stuff! Please comment below on your own thoughts! So below, please comment what's one of your can't live without products? I love to here from you guys and I always want your feedback. So please comment and follow :) it would really make my day!
